Guidelines and Process:
"Gestalt is a German word that is generally associated with
psychology. It means an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum
of its parts. You will come up with your own project based on the concepts of
gestalt theory, which we will discuss in class."
I used gouache paints and ink. This piece is made up of two faces from the same person: Elliott Hulse. The calm side is created with pointillism. The screaming side is created with scratchy, chaotic line work.
